Every once in awhile, a client takes a trip that turns into something more. Travel Consultant Tye was thrilled to find out that his customers Yashvi and TJ became engaged on their trip to Peru, Easter Island, and Chile. Tye helped the couple put together a highly customized trip that turned out to be even more special than the initial itinerary appeared. By combining Machu Picchu, Easter Island, Chiloe, and Torres del Paine, these two lovebirds were able to have some of the most spectacular views on the continent as the backdrop for their love story.
We caught up with Yashvi to review some of the highlights of her and TJ’s adventure. “It is very hard to pick just one memorable moment from our trip,” she shared. “We loved the rustic serenity of Peru and its mind-blowing ancient history and architecture, the exotic mystery of Easter Island and its Moais, and being surrounded by beautiful volcanic crater lakes and rugged coastal cliffs.”

After spending the first half of their trip at Machu Picchu and Easter Island, it was off to Patagonia for the second half. This is where Yashvi and TJ really connected with the South American continent commenting, “the remote hills of Chiloe and sleeping to the sound of Pacific waves crashing, Patagonian landscapes and waterscapes, it was out of this world.”
They also had the opportunity to walk in the shoes of a gaucho (cowboy), but were very happy to return to modern comforts after a long day on the range. “We found the gaucho culture fascinating, but coming back home after our tiring hikes to all the luxurious comforts, all-inclusive benefits and customized meals at Remota was the best!” Yashvi confided.
Tye talked about what it took to bring the trip together. “I knew that combining Machu Picchu, Easter Island, and two destinations in Patagonia was ambitious, but all three of us worked together on a route that was efficient and in the end really exciting,” he said. Yashvi gave her travel consultant high marks adding, “Tye was very helpful and proved to be a great travel agent who kept his word and did not cease to assist us to the fullest even after our actual travels were complete. He saw us all the way through, which we were impressed with the most.”

“I would say most of our trip experience was seamless and transitions very smooth!” Yashvi said of the overall trip, adding, “the biggest comfort was having a reliable, very well-informed, English-speaking guide pick us up at all airports. This was huge for us, as we did not speak the language. SouthAmerica.travel did a great job with this.”
“It was the adventure of a lifetime — fun, laughter, and challenges shared with the man I am now engaged too!!” – Yashvi K.
When we asked Tye if he thought the couple might have their heart set on a South American honeymoon he said, “I’m not sure yet, but they better give me a call if so!” If you’d like to work with Tye on your dream South America trip, give him a call at 1-888-859-7295 or email him today!
