Peggy’s Travel Testimonial
Our Peru trip was magical! Everything was like clockwork. We never missed a beat. All transfers went smoothly and a smiling face was there to greet us at each new place. The hotels were even better than I imagined and the service could not have been better. Gladly handling our luggage whenever we needed.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly and grateful that we had chosen to travel in their country – one of the lasting impressions that we brought home and shared with friends. We especially enjoyed the hotels in Arequipa, Colca Canyon and the Sacred Valley – and the Libertador was a special treat!!
The 3 couples who stayed over at El MaPi were delighted with the hotel, dinner, drinks, and the adventure of exploring Machu Picchu on their own. Dinner at La Rosa Nautica was the icing on the cake for the trip – a fabulous experience! The Corto Maltes Lodge experience was also wonderful, and our 3 guides were especially good – I would rate them each an A+. Our guide in Arequipa – Luis Angel Tatakeda was also excellent, going the extra mile, warm and knowledgeable and entertaining. Henry Llano in Puno did a good job. Ricardo Perez who handled the multiple transfers in Cusco did an excellent job. You were correct that we had plenty of time in Machu Picchu, and it was good to all be in the same train car coming and going!
Further she writes in her Travel Testimonial:
The Peru Rail trip from Puno to Cusco was wonderful. We loved Arequipa – so interesting and easy to get around. Good tour of the city – Santa Catalina Monastery is beautiful. It is so difficult to say what was a favorite – everything was amazing, from scenery to the people and the culture. Loved the Uros Islands visit.
The condors and alpacas and the Colca Valley were breath-taking; I would have added an extra day there! Magic Fountains in Lima were fun and impressive, and we all loved the weaving demonstration at Chincero, as well as the lunch at Sol y Luna near Ollantaytambo. Meals were consistently good.
In retrospect I would have included the two buffet lunches in Chivay, since that was the only option we had each day (a good choice, however!!). I could go on and on, but mostly I want you to know how fabulous the trip was and how GRATEFUL I am for all your special planning and attention to details. You are amazing!
