3 Days / 2 NightsExplore the Madre de Dios River from the Reserva Amazonica Lodge. This reserve in eastern Peru is part of the Amazon Rainforest basin, and features calm waters, aguaje palms, and other primary forest trees. This 3-day excursion allows you to explore oxbow lakes, spot numerous bird and wildlife species, study endemic flora, and learn about the rich bio-diversity of the Madre de Dios. There are several itineraries that you can choose from during your stay at the Reserva Amazonica Lodge. This 3-day itinerary is just a suggestion – you can customize this itinerary however you’d like! Highlights |
Unpack, rest in your bungalow or suite, and have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, take a guided walk along the trails surrounding the lodge to get acquainted with the area. In the evening, take a twilight riverboat excursion to enjoy the water at sunset.
Return to the lodge, and have some cocktails with your fellow guests before dinner. After the meal, relax in the main lodge room or retire to your bungalow.

Daily guided excursions at the Lodge
Unpack, rest in your bungalow or suite, and have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, take a guided walk along the trails surrounding the lodge to get acquainted with the area. In the evening, take a twilight riverboat excursion to enjoy the water at sunset.
Return to the lodge, and have some cocktails with your fellow guests before dinner. After the meal, relax in the main lodge room or retire to your bungalow.

4 Days / 3 NightsThis 4-day tour at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Jungle Lodge is the perfect way to get acquainted with the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. The unique excursions offered here enable visitors to interact with the Amazon Rainforest, helping every traveler get a closer look at life in the Amazon. Enjoy trips to Rolin Island, Lake Sandoval, and Gamitana Creek during an adventurous stay at the exotic Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Jungle Lodge. Highlights |
After you have settled your belongings, take a guided walk along the lodge’s trail system. Then, enjoy an evening nature presentation on Amazonian topics. Dinner will consist of typical Amazonian cuisine. At night, opt for an evening walk, where you will identify the sounds of the Amazon’s animals.
Overnight at Reserva Amazonica.
Later, transfer by boat down the Madre de Dios River for your 1-hour trek to Lake Sandoval. Upon arrival, choose a rowboat excursion around the lake, or swim in the lukewarm waters. As the day comes to a close, watch the sunset over the lake and observe the moon rise.
Return downstream the River to Reserva Amazonica with a chance of observing caimans and nocturnal birds along the ride. Overnight at the lodge.
Later, return to Reserva Amazonica while watching the sunset. Dinner tonight will be at the lodge’s campfire. Overnight at the lodge.
Optional: Visit the Butterfly Farm before you depart from Puerto Maldonado Airport.

This excursion features 11 amazing explorations in 5 days and the opportunity to try almost every activity at Reserva Amazonica. Your journey into the Madre de Dios River region offers a range of land and river excursions that introduce you to the magic of the Southern Amazon rainforest. Create your own nature encounters from different excursions in a range of three intensity levels, some ideal for children, while others are for the more intrepid. Once the sun sets, embark on a Twilight River excursion. Once you have returned back to the lodge, retire early or join your mates for a cocktail, going over your first day in the Amazon.
Return back to the lodge and enjoy evening cocktails in the main dining room or during the daily nature presentation in the Eco-Media Center. Enjoy dinner and reminisce on today’s jungle adventures.
Return to the Inkaterra lodge for a lunch of delicious Peruvian cuisine. After lunch, visit an Ese Eja family farm 25 minutes downstream from the lodge. On your final night, savor the tranquillity of the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Lodge.
