Luxury Camping in PatagoniaΒ – Torres del Paine National Park

Have you ever wanted to camp without the ruggedness of pitching a tent or relying on your fishing skills for dinner? If so, “glamping,” also known as glamorous camping, is for you! The EcoCamp Lodge in Torres del Paine National Park offers the best luxury camping in Patagonia. luxury camping in Patagonia EcoCamp Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia offers many great options when it comes to accommodations. I highly recommend staying at the EcoCamp Lodge for the best luxury camping in Patagonia. Be one with nature and explore one of the worlds most magnificent national parks. Β As the first fully sustainable accommodations in the area, EcoCamp is perfect for those seeking both adventure and comfort. At EcoCamp, you can choose from a variety of outdoor programs during the day and relax at the 5-star unique accommodations at night.

Accommodations: Choose your Luxury Camping dome!

EcoCamp’s famous geodesic domes were built in the same shape as the dwellings built by the ancient Kawskar tribes of Patagonia. This is glamping in Patagonia at it’s best, from Standard Domes to Suite Domes; every traveler is sure to find some comfort. luxury camping in patagonia ecocamp Suite Dome:Β When deciding on a glamorous alternative, choose Suite. Suite Domes offer the most interior space, a private bathroom with a heater, a private terrace, electricity, and a low emission wood burning stove. With the Patagonian decor and stunning views of the famous Towers, you won’t be disappointed.

Superior Dome:Β There are only 4 Superior Domes in EcoCamp, making them a hot commodity. These domes have electricity, a small heater, private bathroom, and shower. Not to mention, you’ll have a lot more space. Fall asleep gazing up at the stars through your Superior Dome skylight, and dream about tomorrow’sΒ  adventure.

Standard Dome:Β Hence the name, the Standard Domes are the smallest and the most basic in the camp. Each dome holds up to 2 travelers, making for some cozy corners! In these domes, there are shared bathrooms and showers. There is no heating or electricity, but there are plenty of wool blankets to keep you warm. The Standard Domes are most comfortable in the summer season (December -February) when the temperatures are warmer. If you are a single traveler, the “sharing is caring” atmosphere is a perfect way to meet other solo travelers.

Yoga Dome:Β My personal favorite, the Yoga Dome takes glamping in Patagonia to a new level! Β EcoCamp visitors aren’t able to spend the night in this dome, but the daily Yoga sessions make up for it. Begin your morning, with a quick stretch before embarking on excursions. And after a long day of trekking, unwind with a soothing evening yoga class. The yoga dome’s large panoramic window has a breathtaking view of the valleys and fields of Torres del Paine. Ponder the moon’s atmospheric beauty, while you sit beside a crackling wood fire, and enjoy the most serene yoga experience of your life.

Choose your EcoCamp Program

With programs ranging from 4-9 days, EcoCamp gives you plenty of options on how to explore Torres del Paine National Park.

Treluxury camping in patagonia ecocampkking Programs: Trekking programs are the most popular. You can choose between famous treks like the W or the O circuit. The treks usually combine overnight stays at EcoCamp and some of the nearby Refugio’s. Porters conveniently carry the majority of your belongings, so all you need to worry about is carrying your day pack. Β This allows you to enjoy the sights while trekking and removes the hassle of carrying your week long belongings on your back. luxury camping in patagonia ecocamp

Wildlife Safari: Talk about family friendly and easygoing. On the wildlife safari, you have the opportunity to take in the humbling scenery of Torres del Paine National Park. Many families enjoy spotting unique wildlife, such as condors, guanacos, rheas, and the infamous puma. If your heart is set on this program, be on the lookout for the flora and fauna of Torres del Paine. luxury camping in patagonia ecocamp

Multi-Sport Adventure: If you’re looking for a fast-paced, thrilling itinerary, then the multisport adventure is for you. Spend your days kayaking through blue glaciers, hiking to the base of the famous towers and riding along the blue waters of Laguna Azul.

Food & Drinks: Refuel at the Community Domes

Lunch: After breakfast, load your bag with a sack-lunch (just like all those elementary school days), from EcoCamp’s “pack your lunch” buffet. Choose from a diverse selection of sandwich fixings, trail mix, fruit and chocolates to fuel you throughout the day.

Dinner: Every evening for dinner you have the opportunity to choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Dinners are far from basic, with vegetarian options for all you herbivores. Reminisce on your day amongst your fellow group members over food and wine, and then head to the bar dome for evening cocktails and card games.

When is the best time to visit Torres del Paine?Β

luxury camping in patagonia ecocampHigh Season: December – February. The majority of travelers coming to Torres del Paine prefer to travel during the summer months. During these months, days are considerably longer and warmer. However, the wind is at its strongest during this time and trails are more crowded. Shoulder Season: The ideal time to travel to EcoCamp is in the shoulder seasons when rates are lower, and there aren’t as many hikers flocking to the trailheads. The shoulder seasons also give you a chance to see the park in a way many others don’t. With Spring (September-November) comes the many wildflowers and Fall (March-April) brings the brilliant reds and oranges of the southern beech trees.

How do I get to EcoCamp Patagonia?

  1. From Santiago fly into Punta Arenas, where EcoCamp services will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to Torres del Paine National Park.
