We had a wonderful time in Peru and appreciate very much all the arrangements you made. It was great having guides meet us at airports and elsewhere so we always knew where we were to go next. There were a lot of transfers, but it all worked out very well. The guides, particularly Rolf in Lima, Juli for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, and Rudolfo in the jungle, were all great. Peru is a terrific country with really nice people. We enjoyed our time in Lima and would have liked to have seen even more of its history and museums. Done again, we might have skipped the culinary tour (though it was a lot of fun) and gone back to museums and cathedrals a second time.
Altitude in the highlands was a bit of a problem, but not enough to prevent us from tramping around a great deal and enjoying the sights. I climbed to the Sun Gate and also to the top of the peak at Machu Picchu, fantastic views. The jungle was great as well. We were surprised at how rugged the accommodations at the lodge were (only a mosquito net between us and the jungle!) and curtains for doors, but it turned out great and was a terrific experience β we saw a lot and learned a lot. Thanks again for all the work you did.
All the best, Charles
