Highlights |
Your guide will greet you at Manaus and take on a 1-hour van and boat journey to arrive at Amazon Ecopark Lodge, located on the shores of TarumΓ£ river, one of the tributaries of the Negro River.
Explore the lodge’s facilities, which include 4 pools of natural water, a bar, a handcraft store, and more!
Afterwards, get ready for your first excursion, a visit to the Monkey Jungle. Admire the playful monkey species that live here, including squirrel and spider monkeys.
After sunset, board a canoe and keep an eye open to spot the caiman alligators, bats, and other creatures that make up the nocturnal Amazonian fauna.
This morning follow your guide on a jungle hike. Look for endemic plants Amazonian people use as medicine due to their natural properties.
After a buffet lunch, immerse in Amazonian culture at the house of a caboclo family, people who have European and native American heritage. You can also go fishing at an area where piranhas live, the famous carnivorous fish.
Return to the lodge and fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.
Now that you’ve spent two days in the jungle, go and spot as many animals as you can with your now trained eyes and the directions of the guide. Pay attention to the sounds of the jungle to grasp a better idea of this mesmerizing place, declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.
In the afternoon, go on a canoe trip through the flooded forest. On this lush labyrinth of tall trees and mirror-waters, you can find a rich marine fauna, as well as birds, frogs, and monkeys.
Return to the lodge and for your last night in the Amazon.
Rise early to fully enjoy your fresh breakfast and the facilities and trails offered by the lodge before your departure. At around 10.30, board a boat to see one of the most exotic phenomena of the Brazilian Amazon. Reach the point where Negro and SolimΓ΅es Rivers converge, creating an irregular line where you can see the dark waters of Negro and the light waters of SolimΓ΅es, without merging.
Transfer to your hotel or the airport in Manaus to continue your trip through Brazil and the rest of South America. You can also add an extra night and choose your own customized tour.
