There are too many memorable moments to mention. Jungle adventures with excellent, informed naturalist to assist in all questions. Excellent accommodations and food in this rural setting. Pick-ups and guides all timely and efficient, which allowed us not to worry about those small details and "just enjoy" the people and the country. Lots of free time for us to travel independently and intermingle with local communities, even attending all night party at private home on Christmas!
Every aspect was just perfect, and we were a difficult audience to please...old folks and very opinionated adult children. Only thing that we all agreed we would have changed was to not spend hours on Isla Taquile on Lake Titicaca. The hike up there was too much for some of the other people we shared the boat with and the central plaza not that interesting to linger about for an hour plus. Time on floating reed island adequate and interesting, but neither market or plaza on Taquile worth the multiple hours spent there.
