I recently went to Peru on a 2-week guided tour organized by Izabela from South America Travel. It included Nazca, Paracas, Arequipa, Colca Valley (not the canyon!), Puno/Lake Titicaca, Cusco/Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu, and Lima. The organization was exceptional – all transfers were on time, all hotels (I picked a mix of 3* and 4*) were good, all guides were friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good English. Peru itself is amazing and absolutely worth visiting! The only negatives, associated with travelling such a vast country, were lengthy transfers (like a nearly 10-hour bus ride from Nazca to Arequipa), and no free time to relax, so my advice is – if you can afford it, include a full day at your leisure in the middle of the holiday in a nice hotel – one needs some rest sometimes ;-)
